Entry Level Computer Helpdesk Support Assistant

Computer Support Assistants work as part of the Help Desk team, providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. As a Computer Support Assistant, you will answer users' questions, train users on basic system and computer functions, address system and user issues, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. • Provide standard help desk assistance, including:
• Log all help desk interactions
• Administer help desk software
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat or email
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
• Research questions using available information resources
• Advise users on appropriate procedures
• Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues
• Follow help desk protocols and procedures, including:
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Redirect problems to correct resource
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions

• High school diploma or its equivalent
